What's Your Cause? Contest for members 13-17!

CFCU wants to help our young members make a difference!

Do you want to help raise money to help your church’s mission trip? Do you want to help buy computers or sports equipment for a local school? Build houses for those in need in your community? We want to know what our members 13-17 stand for! 

Part 1: Facebook Videos for a Cause 

CFCU is a proud supporter of our local communities. We want to know what local cause you want to raise money for. Between March 1 and March 31, become a fan of Christian Financial Credit Union’s Facebook Page. We're asking our members 13-17 to upload a video to our Wall holding a sign stating your cause. In the video, tell us what you want to raise money for, and why. If you want to post a photo that’s cool too! Just make sure you tell us your story in the photo description. All CFCU Facebook fans can vote for the charitable idea that they like best using the “Like/Thumbs Up” button. The idea that gets the most “Like’s” before April 24, 2010 will be our winning cause! 

Part 2: Savings Contest

Between April 1 and April 24, 2010 we will be holding a contest to see how much CFCU members ages 13-17 can deposit into their CFCU Savings Accounts. The more money our 13-17 year olds save (net – you can’t deposit one day and take it out the next), the more money CFCU will give to the winning cause! You will be saving money, and CFCU will donate charitable dollars that will help our community. It’s a win-win situation! 

  • If CFCU members age 13-17 save $15,000 (net) as a group between April 1 and April 24, 2010, CFCU will donate $500 to the winning cause!
  • If CFCU members age 13-17 save $30,000 or more (net) as a group between April 1 and April 24, 2010 CFCU will donate $1,000 to the winning cause!

How to Vote:

Christian Financial Credit Union Facebook Fans can click on the photo/video they think represents the best charitable idea and vote for it by clicking the “Like” button to give it a “thumbs up.” 

Contest Rules:

 

  1. The CFCU Youth “What is Your Cause?” Contest runs from March 1 – March 31, 2010 for charity submissions, March 1 - April 24, 2010 for voting, and April 1 – April 24, 2010 for deposits.

  2. You must be a Christian Financial Credit Union Facebook Fan to participate.

  3. All photos/videos must be the personal property of the individual submitting them. Professional photos/videos taken from third parties are unacceptable.

  4. CFCU reserves the right to remove a photo/video for any reason.

  5. Photos/videos can be uploaded until midnight on March 31, 2010 with cell phones, Facebook’s mobile application, or by uploading from a computer and posting it to the Wall.

  6. Christian Financial Credit Union Facebook Fans can vote on their favorite ideas anytime until midnight on April 24, 2010 with the Like/Thumbs Up” tool. The photo or video with the most “Like/Thumbs Ups” at this time wins.

  7. The winning charity and donation amount will be announced on the Christian Financial Credit Union Facebook Page on April 26, 2010.

  8. In the event of a tie, the CFCU Marketing Department will choose a winner.

  9. To participate in the deposit portion of the contest, you must be a Christian Financial Credit Union member.

  10. If savers do not reach the minimum goal of $15,000, CFCU will still donate $250 to the winning cause.

  11. By uploading a photo/video, you are giving CFCU permission to use it for social and print media purposes. You may be asked to provide your name and a personal photo as well.

  12. No purchase necessary.

  13. By participating in this contest, all participating fans agree to these official rules and understand that all results are final.
